Over the course of two highly productive days, researchers, industrial stakeholders, technology developers and academic partners came together to exchange knowledge, present key scientific and technological achievements, and discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with the transition to a climate-neutral and sustainable industry.

The workshop provided a unique platform for presenting and discussing state-of-the-art developments in CO₂ conversion and utilization, advanced catalytic materials, electrochemical technologies, hydrogen production and utilization, renewable fuels, thermal energy storage, and innovative pathways for sustainable olefins production. The lively exchange of ideas highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral industry. Reflecting the strong interest in the event, more than 40 participants attended in person, while over 50 additional participants joined online, contributing to stimulating discussions and valuable knowledge exchange.

The Final ECOLEFINS Project Meeting offered an opportunity to review the project’s achievements, assess the progress made across all work packages, and coordinate the final activities towards the successful completion of the project. Particular attention was given to the development of co-ionic ceramic reactors, electro-catalytic materials and testing, process modelling and optimization, techno-economic assessment, and the commercial potential of the technologies being developed within ECOLEFINS.

Beyond the technical discussions, the meeting further strengthened the collaboration among consortium partners and reinforced the shared vision of delivering innovative solutions for the low-carbon industrial systems of the future.
