ECOLEFINS at BEST Course 2026 – Inspiring the Next Generation of Green Innovators

ECOLEFINS participated in the spring edition of the BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) Course held in Thessaloniki, Greece. Prof. Marnellos, Coordinator of the ECOLEFINS project, was invited as a keynote speaker in the course “Think Green, Build Smart: The Sustainable Industry Challenge”, organized by students of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and attended by 18 international and 20 local participants.

His presentation, titled “Building the Net Zero Industrial System: Hydrogen, CO₂ Utilization, Electrochemical Storage, and the Production of Green Synthetic Fuels”, introduced students to emerging next‑generation energy technologies and highlighted the ECOLEFINS concept, objectives, and latest progress.

Through this interaction, ECOLEFINS contributed to inspiring young engineers and scientists, fostering awareness on sustainable industrial transformation and the role of innovative electrochemical technologies in Europe’s green transition.
